This my rather large paint ball cannon in an over under style. The gun was actually inspired by spudblaster so when he makes one almost like this I copied him and mine is actually smalled than the size of The one he is going to make and his design is also different.

Specs:

Chamber- 7 Feet of 1" sch 40 PVC plus the elbows.
Barrel- 8 Feet of 1/2" sdr 21 paint ball barrel.
Valve- A recycled sprinkler valve.
Breach load- 1" cam locks.
Ammo- paint balls.

Cool, not exactly portable, but who cares. I like the little camlock on it too.

That can-lock is nifty. However, I don't really care for the length and the complete lack of portability. You aren't gong to use this in actual paintball are you?

I bet it has some pretty decent power. Have you shot it? It looks like the barrel will vibrate like crazy when it's shot (suggesting supporting the barrel more).

The main idea I was addressing was its length, which would make it very cumbersome to carry around. Oh well, you like it, I don't care very much for it. Lets let bygones be bygones.

... a seemingly harmless projectile.
Well, my tests with even faster paintballs (1000+ fps)in hydraulic tests show that the paintball would actually only cause a shallow but nasty surface wound, because they break up so fast.

A hit in the right place would be fatal of course, and you'd almost certainly need medical attention wherever it hit, but they are designed to break in impacts of under 200 fps, so subjecting them to an impact a couple of dozen times harder is going to annihilate them.

Only 5 lbs? It looks more - the kick might actually be pretty noticeable from such a light launcher.

I like the bigger cannons, nice build. Whats the paint sceme going to be? Won't the paint ball bust in the barrel at higher pressures?

I doubt it. They remain intact under the 300+ psi pressures I use and speeds exceeding 1000 fps, although I need a little wadding because they're slightly smaller than my .80 cal bore - that may cushion them slightly.

Wow thats a pretty nice cannon and very...........long too. You should be getting some respectable velocities out of it also. :)

Hmm strange mine burst about 60% of the time over 110psi.

thats a pretty sweet gun. what kind of accuracy does it get?
