3/2 Inch QEV Paintball Cannon

This cannon was built for the sole purpose of using the new valve which I got off ebay. Its a 1.5 inch porting Asco QEV. The barrel is 3/4 CPVC and it uses a ball valve as a breech and the chamber is 1.5 SCH 40. Charged to about 100 psi, paint balls do all sorts of crazy things. Sometimes they shoot left, other times they go up or down. So this gun's accuracy is miserbale basically, as of now it is to cold to test it outside so no damage pictures.

Well thats because of the paintball, not the valve, (talking about the accuracy)
But it looks nice and i hope to get good results with my 2 valves

Very nice but, again, why the shoe?

Improper fractions! GRRRRR
Your launcher looks good, but it could use a barrel support. Try using some saddle tees.

Only chemists use decimals, engineers and my calculator like fractions. And I am slowly getting this one done. Barrel supports are in the making now.

engineers and my calculator like fractions
That's why engineers have calculators with convert functions.
Implying that you are an engineer?
Don't expect to get any accuracy out of a 6/8" CPVC barrel.Especially with small paintballs.Try using the really cheap stuff and it might help out.White box will be your best friend for large bores.

Yea I am trying to be one, and yea my calculator does everything. And yea someone mentioned that before but I am using pretty cheap paint balls anyway so who knows. The cannon itself is hard to aim so most of it is probably me.

You're not the only one trying to be an engineer. If you're still going to USMMA I might be seeing you around.
Don't feel bad about inaccuracy. My piston gun wouldn't shoot a paintball worth a flip.Ever think about using an old spyder barrel or something? And like PVC Arsenal said;barrel supports help out alot.

Try something that isn't a paintball or for that matter, spherical, I'd expect an increase in accuracy

Hahahaha PVC Arsenal 17 i love your sig "take that...bloody aussies.." lol
back to the topic, nice cannon, i'm sitting on the edge of my seat to veiw the rest of the cannons made by members using the Asco valve. Love the paintjob for some reason!

I dont think it's a QEV is it? All i know is that it's called a Asco Valve, correct me if i'm wrong.

I think, "think" its a QEV although that should not be taken 100% there. Its made by Asco and it does in fact open rather quickly.

Isn't it a QEVEBAVWITIEBAV?
Quick Exhaust Valve Exhausted By Another Valve Which In Turn Is Exhausted By Another Valve?
I'm pretty sure it's classed as a QEV though.

It is in fact a QEVEBAVWITIEBAV. Took me awhile to figure what the hell was going on with two ports and all but now it works rather well.
