just wondering the advantages of a sprinkler valve over a blow gun?

i might just be confused but i don't see why a sprinkler valve is better.

A sprinkler valve has more flow and opens faster. Was that a serious question?

Have you found a 1 inch porting blowgun? Ok well I mean 3/4 but whatever, its pretty common sense, the blowgun cant possibly flow better than a sprinkler valve.

Edit: You really didn't specify what you intended it for so with that information we can tell you why.

dude seriously? c'mon look at how big the valves are. The blowgun valve is as big as the tip of your finger. The sprinkler valve is as big as your fist. lol

how could you figure the opposite? just wondering

it really depends on your application. you didn't specify any particular setup.

in a bbmg/strafer vortex/cloud configuration the blowgun works great. once you get into larger projectiles your going to need more air and a blowgun will only choke the air flow. so then you would use a either sprinkler valve, a qev, a piston valve or a diaphragm valve. now if you were to make a piston or diaphragm valve you would need to dump the pilot volume very quickly and a sprinkler valve or qev can be very nice for this because of the larger air flow. they still have to be piloted by a blowgun or similar apparatus. smaller piston valves with smaller pilot volumes can be piloted by just a blowgun. rumor has it schrader valves can be used also.

hmmmm... i see your point. He could have seen a large cannon with a blow gun on the back. and that could have been a piston cannon.

so i guess the moral of the story is it all depends on the application. the more air you want to move the bigger the valve needs to be......

by the way stock sprinks suck!!!!!!

I beg to disagree, compared to their modded counterparts yes they may lack in performance, however there is nothing wrong with an unmodded sprinkler valve.

you could say the same about a ball valve, but we still hate them.

No they don't, they actually release air, which would mean that they blow. [/sarcasm]
