Hi all,

This is a creation i made using my 1/4" SMC QEV i purchased a while back.

Valve: 1/4" QEV
Barrel: 30cm of 4.5mm brass
Chamber: 15mm brass nipple
Pilot: 1/4" BV
Fill: Scrader

Its name TG6 stands for Test Gun 6mm and is this because of its purpose other than destroying crap with lead splitshot...testing the world of QEVs and boy was i impressed!

This can punch a lead bb through 3/4" ply at 250psi easy done. i mainly use it at 250 thanks to my HP floor pump which i got before MrCrowley lol

The pilot valve, 1/4" BV, pilots through the cored scrader valve (fill).

it is breachloaded by unscrewing barrel out of valve, i cut half thethreads of nipple.

here are some pics, damage up tomorrow.

edit: sorry guys it was actually 1/2" ply

damage pics and vids are in a later post

Looks pretty good, I'm guessing it doesn't weigh an unbearable amount seeing as you can hold and shoot with one hand. Is there any degree of accuracy to it?
By the way, how much did your QEV set you back? SMC is about the only place I've seen them over here.
Anyways, can't wait to see holes through stuff.

well that is one heck of a nice "gun"

that would have got my vote on the favorite gun on the site (without FEAR and the ETG)

you just inspired me to set my next project. a high pressure very small bore pneumatic and the mini hybrid will have to wait.

that is the best micro launcher i have seen! :)

Thanks guys, to tell you the truth i did not post this because i didnt think people would like it lol

I have another couple of guns not posted including a small HP burst disk which i will be sure to post up.

Thanks mitch

SMC is about the only place ive seen to get QEVs except the net of course from which i just scored 6 15mm qevs for 50$ all up inc shipping. its bloody accurate with homemade nail darts.

Have fun spudfarm they are great, 3 pumps and im at 220psi :D

I got the fittings from bunnings except the schrader which i got from a scooter inner tube.

Damage on the way guys.

you are supposed to shoot the deodorant when it is in a fire, but none the less, really nice job.
Make sure to practice pulling that trigger really fast. The speed you get varries greatly with the speed at which you open the ball valve, as I learned with my almost sonic cannon tests with a chrony here: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/pics-up ... rt,15.html

good one on putting the ball valve so close to the QEV, almost illiminating pilot volume. that helps a lot.
@ lentamentalisk: i agree with you, so carlman, how about springloading the ballvalve?

the only thing with spring loading is that the way i fill it is oen BV pump close BV take off pump then open BV to fire. If i was to spring load it i would need to hold it closed because there isn't much room for a nice mech to open it in there.

it is nice to open as it and im probably going to make the handle more trigger like soon.

Yea it has almost no pilot vol, its great :D
