Hey guys,
I was just wondering if, when making my breech loader i could use a ball valve ? You know when you drill a whole through the side ? Yeah well i was wondering if you would be able to drill through the side of a metal ball valve. The reason why i ask this is because im not sure how i would do a breech loader using a pvc ball valve because i don't know how i would connect it to copper pipe ?
thanks guys

no, just a powerful drill.
Really, the trick is not pushing really hard, and to make a small hole first to guide your larger hole. If possible, make a dent on the outside where you want to drill before you do, it helps keep your drill on track.
Other than that, its just like drilling wood......

I'm really surprised no one mentioned it already, but DO NOT hold this in your hand and drill it.
If the bit slips, or grabs the work, your hand is the thing that is most likely to get damaged.
Use a vise.
