Can i buy a shrader with threads that i can attach to a regular 1/8in. coupling bought at Home Depot. I have a shrader that i took of a broken tire that i got for free ar a bike shop but the only way i can get it into my gun is jb weld, wich im fine with but i wanted to know if i could get them with threads.

The JB welded ones are better in my opinion. They cost less, and Gives you the satisfaction of beating the system.... Somewhat.

I believe Ace Hardware sells 1/8" threaded schraders, if you live in the U.S.

If you get a coupling, you are going to need something to push the schrader valve pin to open it. Unless you want to pump the extra 70 psi it takes to open of course..

Ace hardware... oh i've only bin going to home depot and lowes. and yes i do like the idea of beating the system.

I'm not sure why threaded schraders started disappearing from the shelves of Lowes and Home Depot, they both used to carry them in the air tool/compressor section...5 or so years ago and before...

In the compressor or plumbing section of almost any hardware store, you can find scrader valves of 2 different varieties. The ones you find in the compressor section are usually only about 1/2 inches long, and have only one thread diameter. The ones in the plumbing section are about 1 inch long and come with 2 different types of thread.

No need to order them online or anything, just ask someone at the hardware store if you cannot find it.

I will warn you, you are most likely to only find the compressor variety, which is nothing bad, just that I personally dont like how small and fiddly thay are.

McMaster-Carr part number 8063K41 is what you are looking for.

I've never seen 1/8 inch threaded ones in stores but 1/4 inch threaded ones aren't uncommon.

If you're in Canada, I've seen them in either 1/4"npt and/or 1/8"npt @

NAPA, Princess Auto, Peavey Mart, Canadian Tire and Home Hardware.

Check near the air tools, the brass fittings section, and the plumbing section where you find parts for water wells (pumps and pressure tanks).

I buy my 1/8"npt schraders from Princess Auto.

I have checked at Home Depot several times with no luck, but that could just be me. Whatever you do, don't ask an employee, even if they work in the air compressors section. I made this mistake once, and confused the guy extremely badly. He then led me around the store for at least 8 minutes searching for it, and finally admitted to having no clue what it was.

Auto part stores, thats were I got mine. I think they are called universal fill valves. ( I think )

I agree, never ask an employee for something obscure (to them), and under no circumstances do you try to explain what a pneumatic potato gun is to an ACE employee, those were some of the most awkward minutes of my life...

no universal fill valves are similar to female quick conects... I think?
