Hey guys, I have been thinking about how to make it easier to fill my pneumatic gun. Anyway, my question is, how would you go about connecting a paintball tank to a pneumatic gun? (Not actually ATTACHED, but able to be connected and disconnected just to fill the chamber) BTW, my current fill valve is a schrader valve (probably not a great choice, I know) Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

are you planing using hpa paintball tank ( high pressure air ) or c02
or you going modify the tank so you can fill it with another schrader valve

glad to hear you can help me out. So I happen to be lucky enough to be in possession of a large air tank (used for an oxy/acetlyne welder) and I thought I could use that to fill up a paintball tank with air. I just need to figure out how to get air into the paintball tank, then out of it into the gun.

Please post the results of your discussion here (cost mainly) I've been thinking of getting a hpa setup for my hp pneumatic.

didn't find out the cost yet, but if you have a paintball tank and a place to fill it, i don't think it will be that expensive

I have neither! I'm talking about the whole setup, reg, fill attachment, tank.

and i really dont know how much it will cost. im in the same position as you. i havent really planned it out yet

well depending on the size, the tank will cost you $15-$85 USD small 9 oz paintball tanks cost about $15 around my house. Most 5 lb Co2 tanks will cost about $75-$85 unless you can find them used. anything bigger, and it gets really expensive.

A decent regulator will cost about $45-$95 online. im not sure about in stores. Palmer regs are considered the best and cost the most.

You will probably have to buy a thread converter attachment to use NPT fittings.

hose and fittings are probably another $25-$30.

Im not really sure about the rest.

Dont quote me on any of these prices as they can vary. This is just what i have seen.

The Palmer regs are good. I use the SIDELINE STABILIZER from them. If you use a quick connect FILL NIPPLE, not just the regular nipple, it will conatin the air for you is you disconnect the hose line(but you would need to bleed it first)

I agree use a palmer regulator. This is the setup i used.
