This launcher has porting throughout the receiver to allow air to pass from the source into ballast in the rear of launcher. The bolt plugs the air passage into the barrel until the bolt has travelled completely to seal the barrel. 4 round magazine plus room for 1 in chamber. I get around 15 rounds with the 13cu tank at 200psi. Ballast chamber is milled from aluminum billet so should handle 600 plus psi no problem. The grip assembly is removeable without the need to disconnect any hoses or open up the grip itself. The magazine is removed by use of a small button on the right side of launcher. I will post new videos soon.

There is no need for a comment other than WOW. Another fine piece of work from Solar.

Since there IS no need for anything else... WOW
Life's too short to mark off the items on your wish list...
If I had a spudgun fetish, I would be pretty aroused. Great work!

Further improvements will be a larger magazine to handle 4" and 6" gas canisters as well as a unified air/ammo magazine. I would like to incorporate the regulator internally to the ballast chamber as well. The production model will be a bit lighter and a little more squarish towards the back. The bolt will also be covered inside a metal block. The one last thing needed on this launcher is the automatic ball release for the magazines. With the addition of 3 more grooves, the magazine would be omni directional as well.
Oh yeah, and we are putting a gate on the very top of the launcher to allow individual rounds to be inserted into the receiver/mag. It will prevent the bolt from moving or the gun from firing when it is in use.
haha, yeah, regarding that previous post... I sat up and stared at it for hours last night after it was complete. It's been a long time in the works. Nice to see it in reality for once.

as always I'm impressed with your work solar, but I'm still unclear on what the ammo is?

It is using 40mm round balls. We are making our own that are precision weighted, but are using the mini tennis balls now. Ping pong balls filled with water work great too. The future receiver will be wide enough to handle longer ammo and/or double rows of round balls that empty out one row at a time.
The plates are made airtight by using o-ringsw in grooves that are bolted against each other. You can see the bore holes on the bottom of the plate. at 400 psi it settles into a nice shot with some good power. We might be making some vids tomorrow. I will also take some shots with it in a greater state of teardown to show off the guts.
BTW, it is possible to just stuff things like carrots into the receiver and the bolt slices and dices them to fire carrot buckshot.
