Here's my latest project, a pretty simple pneumatic mortar with semi-automatic capabilities if I ever get around to making a loading mechanism. It was built for lobbing large projectiles fairly long distances or as a mortar to rain down airsoft BBs or paintballs.
Specifications
CHAMBER: about 2' of 1-1/4" PVC pipe
BARREL: about 2.5' of 2" PVC pipe
FIRING VALVE: 3/4" QEV
PILOT VALVE: 3/8" slide valve
NORMAL FIRING PRESSURE: 60psi-160psi (I might go higher with a metal chamber if I get a fridge compressor)
AMMO: Clementines, NERF pocket vortex footballs, BBs, PBs, Water
FEATURES: Backpack CO2 system, fully adjustable/folding bipod, fishing reel so I don't lose too many NERFs
Side View:
Front View:
Back View (sorry it was setup wrong and I didn't realize ATM):
Fully Folded for Carrying:
Many upgrades to come, but thats all for now

I think it looks great. It makes the cannon blend in with natural surroundings which is what camouflage is meant to do.

What are you talking about? I have a DCV and a CO2 system, all I need is a tee mag to fire semi-auto

oops i trying to get into pneumatics I'm still trying to understand every thing. so how many upgrade are you planing to incorporate into your design?

its alright, sorry if I came off a little harsh
I hopefully plan to incorporate some sort of sight that adjusts according to the angle of the bipod, a full metal chamber, a more comfortable trigger, and higher pressures

Very fewreal world mortars are magazine fed, so i think you can get away with leaving it muzzle loaded good job, let's see it in action!

i think your mortar looks pretty cool just improve the bipod like you said and it would be very nice with BBs for a big "areacontrol"
looking forward to see it shootin some paintballs or stuff like that
and muzzle loaded adds the feeling of an old mortar put the ammo in and there it goes xD

Yeah, I agree. no need to overcomplicate stuff
Though, you could build a spudgun version of AMOS system... With MRSI capability, ballistic computer and all that cool stuff

lol notice that it uses air cylinders to load ammo

Thanks for the feedback, I might make it breech loading in he future, and even a golf ball barrel. As far as a video, I may shoot some cherry tomatoes (5-10), some airsoft BB mortar shells, and probably a low pressure NERF shot.
@JSR, I'm amazed at your self-control not to comment about the foot in the picture
@POLAND_SPUD, Do you think they use DCVs and Fridge compressors as well?

At least it was subtle, unlike your canine companion

I was actually talking about the dog foot
He just wouldn't leave me alone for the picture, probably because i was launching tennis balls for him out of the mortar earlier. Now everytime i bring it out he thinks it is fetch time

Any suggestions for some cool stuff to shoot out of a 2" barrel? I know there's a thread in this, but I'm gonna get a video of this thing firing random stuff

2 inch toys. A couple of things come to mind.. 2 inch pocket nerf rockets and 2 inch doggy tennis balls. I use the Tough Balls brand. They go far as they are heavier than normal tennis balls.
