non pre-pressured copper cadridge...

after my first sucssesfull build, a 15mm ID single shot, Qev gun, i wanted to try something new...
i cant say i already have seen something around like what i had in mind, but ill try to give you a mental picture...
basicly i want a magazine fed, shell ejecting, multiple shot rifle. not neccesairily semi, but i was thinking bolt action.
i have been altering some standard casings, wich i had lying around, and shortened them to 3 cm lenght.. inner diameter is 8mm, or for the larger version 10mm (i cut off the tips of old copper blanks)
the primers will be drilled out, so you end up with some casings, essentially just pieces of copper tubing with the extractor rim intact
at this moment i`m trying to find me a barrel with either 8mm or 10mm ID.. wich has to be exactly 8mm or 10mm
if i get a hold of some tubing, then i would know the OD of the tube, i want to design a receiver, with a slot in it to accept a magazine.
then a bolt with a rim in it to pull out a spend casing. some orings, and the bolt-spring should keep the bolt/casing/barrel assembly under enough tension to keep it airtight...
the bolt itself is hollow and will apply the needed compressed air to the casing to push out the projectile.
im not aiming to make this thing very powerfull... it is just to see if i can pull it off to make such a thing with some basic tools...
a soon as i get some parts done, i will post pic`s, but in the meantime, i`d like to discuss this idea i got
