And a full auto version

This is what the full auto looked like when it was first assembled for testing. There is a small magnet on the bottom of the T fitting to keep the stack of balls in position ready, as the trigger is pulled the first ball leaves the stack and gravity drops the stack ready for the next shot, fully automatic, in theory.

Here is the revised full auto, extra air line to the magazine tube keeps the ammo flowing better, it was stuttering as it was, 3 or 4 shots at a time.

I need a bigger air flow now to keep up, so will get a bigger reservoir tank. Laser sight is a cheap pointer of ebay ($1.50)

So total cost of this build, $1.50 + $3.00 for 100 balls.

Estimated rate of fire is 3000 rounds per minute, mag tube holds 50(1/4" steel ball bearings), I will video a 10 shot burst and get the time frame off media player in slow mo.

And I have parts for another one, I am thinking a short barrel pistol, single shot with pump action reload.

Nice, what pressure are you running at? The pressure washer valve can take a lot of pressure, you could happily hook up an unregulated paintball tank to it.

I just have a 100psi portable compressor, what pressure can a paintball tank hold? I have a 12v 250psi compressor so I could pump one up. The pressure washer gun is rated at 300 so it would take it.

You mean 3000 ;)

A paintball gun typically holds 3000 or 4500 psi, with an output of 850 psi. You're not going to do anything with one of those little 12 volt pumps though, get yourself a fridge compressor!

Yes it works very well considering there are no moving parts, just a handfull of fittings screwed together.

Do you have any idea on velocity?

And its a simple detent right?

I think I would need a proper meter to measure velocity, I tried to video it with my regular camera but it is just a blur.

The 'detent' for the balls is just a magnet, it's not in the first photo as I hadn't glued it on yet. this is how it works.

I think a rubber detent would be more effective

Also, I note that your nickname is an anagram of "arctic fox" but gives the first impression of "farty cocks".

Hey, man, nice gun 8) . I did not, however, see any notes on the caliber?
Also, why did you decide to use the air flow to load the rounds? It seems like a spring would have been easier. Or maybe I've missed something?
