Instead of drilling a hole in the sprinkler valve could you get a hose adapter that can thread in where solenoid went? Because I have a U shaped sprinkler valve which I cant drill becaue of thingies in the way. How Blunt.

It depends on the style of the threads whether or not they are BSP,NPT, etc. I'm guessing if you want this adaptor you will have to get it custom made, maybe i'm wrong.

No, that wouldn't work you obviously don't understand how sprinkler valve modification works.

well then maybe you could enlighten him and me carlbelcher, instead of just saying it wont work, most normal people would post why it wouldnt work aswell.

It would work a little better, but you would be better off drilling a hole in the center and doing it that way. You could try it.

ummm... i didn't think anti-siphon valves could be modded.
...at least ive never seen a modded anti-siphon valve b4.
but if it's possible go for it.

Don't get an attitude with me, noob!
(removed unneccary comment)
Here you go:
It won't work because when you modify a sprinkler valve you enlarge the pilot hole behind the diaphragm, in doing so you are able to vent the pilot pressure from behind the diaphragm faster which allows the valve to open faster. If you modify it this way (by replacing the solenoid) you will still be using the same size pilot hole, the solenoid isn't the weak link it's the pilot hole size. so this idea won't work because your not increasing the flow of air from the pilot your just replacing the solenoid with a blow gun (or valve).
EDIT:
Sorry, I was pissed off.

I didn't feel like wasting my time to tell you something that anyone with half a brain should be able to figure out by looking around the site and god forbid SEARCHING!
But since you damn noobs can't find anything out on your own!

Okay. So it would work(sort of) so i wouldnt need my electronic control box anymore. Thanks for the help. I now understand it better now.
Thanks man.

If CarlBelchfart had talked to me that way, I would have to him to fuck off, noob or not. Seems like some of these people on this forum think they are Jesus Christ Superstar and can talk to you any way they want.
BOOMERGER said it.....(I'll make sure to fart on YOU!)

Ok so I modified the valve by removing the flow control valve and drilling a hole big enough for an air gun.
The gun has so much more power than before.(1 1/2 barrel) I fired it twice so far at 130 psi. The first time with a steel slug. It broke my brick wall! Second time I shot water. The recoil was so much more than before the mod. It tore my hand open pretty bad.The hook on the air tool caught my hand after i shot nearly taking my fingers with it.

Be carefull about going up to 130. If I am right they are only rated to 125PSI. And sry about the pic thing.
