so i got my gun all built, barrel seals very nicely, and i got everything glued up. so i went to pressurize it, and it sprung a leak on the joint between the chamber and the end cap. i am wondering what the best way to patch up a leak is. i cant see any reason why it should be leaking, but i hear a hissing, and my pressure gague reads 0.

Um you obviously DID SOMETHING WRONG
You need to remove the fiting and replace it properly. Apply primer to the fitting then the pipe. When it dries in a couple or seconds Apply glue to the fitting then to the pipe. Use plenty of glue. Quickly push the fitting onto the pipe with a 1/4 turn. Then hold it for 30 seconds. Then wait a full 24 hours for the glue to cure. Then you can pressure test your gun. Perfurably with water or oil.

jb weld is the best way to fix a leak. and by the way something is one word, spudstuff

yeah i obviously did do something wrong. is there a way to get the endcap off, and is it neccesary to remove the endcap to fix the leak? there is only really one big leak, and the rest seals very nicely. i just need to fix this one spot, and i dont feel like cutting the endcap off (again).

I would do what Schmaman said, get some expoxy and fill the hole. Make sure tho you sand the aera around the hole good like with 100grit paper so that the expoxy will stick to it.

ok thanks. i started to fill the gap, and it looks like its working pretty well. i will probaly have another question in about an hour, but i think this answers it for now.

And when the cap flies off at 110 PSI...

if it still leaks after the epoxy, wrap it in electrical tape.
put on a couple of layers and then use a hairdryer on it to make it gummy.
repeat the process until you've used a whole roll of tape.
this only works for very small slow leaks

This is a leak in a jount and he said it was a big one.

i have a solution for you. Take super glue, or epoxy. Take only the chamber, create a small vaccum (continous) and display a small layer or glue or epoxy where the end cap is. you should see the glue/epoxy enter where the leak is. that's what i did for my coaxial piston (which i'll post here later) and it worked perfectly. hope you get it fixed so you can have fun with your canon!!! see ya

Wtf is your problem Spudstuff? What is wrong with trying something different? It he said he did it and it worked what is wrong with that? I think you need to relax. But anyways try doing the vacum thing should do the trick.
