Ok, first off, this is my first post. I've been doing alot of reading. I was just wondering if anyone has thought about making a backpack cannon. I work at a Camp and we have Paint ball, I thought it might be fun to have a big one time shot cannon to do a wide spread shot on either side of our field. But Then I thought it would be even more fun to have one mounted on the back of a counselor. Anywho....
Here are some pics of what I woudl do.

I'm not sure if I would use 4 or 3 in pipe. I would definatly use under 30 PSI.....I wouldn't want to get sued or anything. I would hope the Diagram would explain enough. What do you think.

you arent going to get but only 1 shot with it.. and yes it has not only been thought of but done www.bcarms.com has one verry cool but not quite a backpack, if you do make one you should (in my oppinion) make a berrell to shoot paint grenades, and thanks for drawing a diagram that was not only helpfull but clear enough to read

What you could do is have that dual chamber idea but instead make one larger than the other and regulate the pressure between the two. that way you start with the pressure in the first tank at 100 psi and get several lower psi shots off of the second tank.

Wow, thanks guys. I saw the Proton pack, I just wasn't sure if that was Peumatic or not. It would be at a camp, with little kids, so a combustion would be alot harder to get away with.

squeaks, I really like the idea of more than one shot. It would be cool, This is goign to be a really fun project, I'll probably just use a styrofoam cup for putting the paint balls in. I could also use this to teach about projectiles and Pnematics... I'm just goig to have to talk to the Higher ups at the camp to ok it with them. Thanks for the help guys. I'll put it up on the site when I'm done with it. No idea how long that will be.
