I was looking around the site and there is no place to discuss ammunition by itself, so I am gonna take a chance here and ask what a economical and destructive ammo is. I want something bigger than 2" say and less than 4", anyone have any suggestions?

If you wana make a kick @$$ shotgunn this is what i do. (this only works on breach loaders by the way) Take a piece of insulation foam (any styrofoam will work, if you have a lathe wood works too) and cut it to the same diameter as your barrel. Put maybe 10-20 rocks or marbles in the barrel and put the plug in behind it. Fuel the chambe and fire. This is fun and extreamly efective. I have takes 5 or 6 pieces of wood off of our wood pile with one shot. Its really cool and destructive, and the best part is that it is very close to free.

old deodorant cans, cut to half length, filled with sand or ground, and then you put epoxy to old it.
"petanque" balls.
billiards balls
sculpted wooden ammo
bondo with a given shape
old bottles, half filled with water, and pumped to 40 psi. (you put an old tire valve through the cap with some glue) makes a cool splash and BOOM effect on impact.

First off my cannon is a pneumatic, no silly combustion and I kinda want something that I can shoot over and over. I wanna try and get a good, recorded distance so I need something sturdy. But thanks for the idea, I use that sort of ammo when playing paintball.

Sorry, just wanna make sure you know I replace the rocks etc. with paintballs.

Someone here posted a video of a 2" "Ball Hitch", it didn't show the hitch, the camra was set up down range and you could hear the hiss coming off the hitch as it went by, truely awsome! I would love to see and hear the shot go off rite beside the cannon.

I think the thread was called " 2" ball hitch". In the Pneumatic section.

try shooting a large metal bolt. it will require some wadding but goes through most anything.

i found lead fishing weights entertaining but they deform easily.i decided to shoot some 1cm round weights, I now have several half circle weights in my tackle box. :)

i just thought of a wicked idea 'a air powered caster'. Any one ever done this before?

Thats what alot of spudguns are used for these days, air powered and combustion. There are even antenna launchers for satellites and what not. :P
