Isn't that a 2 inch sprinkler valve, or am i just blind... and stupid, and wrong,
but if it is isn't that the only place you can put it? or anywhere around the side of the valve

That is a 1 inch sprinkler valve. It says so in the thing:
Here is a good shot of the front end equipment and fittings. From front to back: pipe chamber (can barely see it), 3" coupler, 3"-1.5" reducer, 1.5"-1" reducer, about 2" of 1" pipe, 1" male adapter, and sprinkler valve.

I am new to this site and see a lot of different air release systems that all seem to be the same three. I have No use for supah valves, air bleed
triggers {which are clumsy, ugly, leak off and get broken off} and such.
And sprikler valves run on various dc battery configs.
You can make a stock sprinkler valve really talk with a capacitive discharge trigger system. Iwill post my designs later today after I figure out how to navigate this site better.

tronhead, just mod the sprinkler vavle. It doesn't take more than 10 minutes, and tools you should already own. And even if you don't, the only real specialized tool you will need is a $3 1/4NPT tap.

You fail to realise the flow of the normal path of activation. The hole is about the size of a pencil lead. Even if that soleniod opens at mach 300 itll still have sh*tty flow. Get a little pushbutton from McMaster if your worried about athstetics. You could always bore out the two holes, get a bigger soleniod, slap a bigger sealing face on there, and BAM! your done with a whole bunch of wasted time!!!
