Same here. Dunno how American hardware stores work, though.SpudBlaster15 wrote:I bought mine at Canadian Tire for about $25. Any store that sells grills should carry them, if they don't have one in stock just ask them to order one in for you.
Hard to say for sure. The Olympian you linked to is unknown to me. The page says it is a "continuous piezoelectric spark" which suggests to me that it has a motor driven hammer that is smacking a piezo element. (It also has a light bulb to help see back into the appliances that it is designed to light.)
I've been looking at that for ages... still don't know why I never bought it.jimmy101 wrote:Kufive wrote: Some info on the GM12;
* Designed exclusively for igniting gas appliances.
* No butane to refill.
* Continuous ignition piezo electric sparker assures a large and immediate continuous spark.
* Automatic illumination micro-light and curved nozzle make tough lighting jobs easy.
* Uses one C battery (included).
The Cabela's price, $19.99 + $4.95 shipping, looks pretty good. Other places have the same lighter for $22~$30.
Looks like a very interesting lighter. If you do get one it, and it works like you want, it would make a great "How to".
