Where to get Electric BBQ ignitors?

Im in the process of building/planning out a propane powered spud gun and wanted a repeating spark. Stun guns are an option but i have seen some guns with electric bbq ignitors/starters and I was wondering where you get them?
I have looked all over the internet/forums and have come up with nothing. so if you have used one or even know where i could get one your answer will be greatly appreciated!

I bought mine at Canadian Tire for about $25. Any store that sells grills should carry them, if they don't have one in stock just ask them to order one in for you.

Which do you think would be better?

Hard to say for sure. The Olympian you linked to is unknown to me. The page says it is a "continuous piezoelectric spark" which suggests to me that it has a motor driven hammer that is smacking a piezo element. (It also has a light bulb to help see back into the appliances that it is designed to light.)

Since it has a piezo element and a battery it is different than the more common battery operated ignitors which basically use a camera flash type circuit.

I would think it could be hacked pretty easily, particularly if the case is screwed together, which it looks like it is.

Unscrew the case and remove the long metal tube. There will be a small insulated wire that runs the length of the tube, that is one of the wires you'll run to your spark gap. The other wire is the metal tube itself. With the case open you should be able to find the wire the tube is connected to and make your connection there. The metal tube can be discarded and the two wires passed through the hole the tube went through.

Thanks for the info jimmy...ill be getting one when i get paid next and when i have time...prob in the next couple weeks...Ill be sure to take pictures while Im taking it apart and rebuilding it and if it does work ill be sure to make a "How To"!
