I ordered a couple of these Vipertek stun guns and love them for ignition in my simple burst disk hybrids. I removed the metal pokers and drilled holes for copper spark plug wire. I used epoxy putty around the holes to support the wires. It works great.
I will post more on the gun soon; probably in the showcase section.
Awesome Ignition - Cheap and easy!

Interesting page, but the guy doesn't know jack about electronics, particularly high voltage electronics. You can't measure the voltage of a piezo with an Oscope like he tries to. The voltage is a heck of a lot higher than 350V. What he is actually measuring is the input impedance of his Oscope.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Are these illegal too?Moulde wrote:Too bad those are illigal where i live

Without the Oscope, he gets a spark across a one to two mm air gap with fairly blunt electrodes so the piezo's voltage is at least 2KV or so and might be as high as 6KV (or perhaps even more).
Edit: Actually, with the Oscope he is measuring the input impedance and the input capacitance of the Oscope (including the probes).
