I am working on the somewhat ambitious project of a semi-automatic combustion cannon. I've looked around on the internet a little bit and haven't really been able to find any that are close to what i am hoping to build. I'd love to have your feedback on my designs, and how i would go around actually getting the thing to work.

This is how i plan on loading and firing each marble. I think it should work, but i am a little worried how well the latex tubing will hold up.

No, just gonna say that tubing will melt after 1-2 fires, and that is just risky even with pneumatics, it would be interesting for pneumatics though. If I were you I would scrap the tubing idea and replace it with a simple detent or make it a blow forward bolt. Semi auto design? Unless your gas is mixed before with oxygen and another explosive gas and injected by pressure into the gun.Hope that helps.
