Bought few of these after someone posted the link here.
One of them arrived and wanted to test it out. Used few airsoft parts what was in my trash pile, a 4 AAA battery holder fits nicely inside the grip of an AEG.
Great ignition, recommended. Fueled with a mini torch and took one dry fire in my garage, ears still ringing.
Will make a more robust grip with the battery and ignition incorporated once I get my own 3D printer.

I found you can power these from a 9V battery safely, at least for short amounts of times, which is all we typically need. I don't want to be responsible for anyone frying their modules, but it does help save space and makes the spark a bit more angry.
Initially I tried using a single AA battery, which worked, but didn't carry enough energy to ignite many mixes.

I have fried them before with 9v so not taking any risks, it burns after a couple time of use. The 4 AAA holder isn't much bigger and fits nicely inside the grip. I may try a 7.4 lipo though...

Speaking of igniters i'm trying to sell my AED. With this u can ignite a giant cannon AND save lives. They usually cost $1900 but not this time. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/hab/4675867162.html No modification to the unit need. uses a 9 volt battery to power a 5 year battery pack. The thing is i don't really care to build big cannons. So maybe someone else can put it to good use.
WHY PAY FOR IT WHEN U CAN MAKE IT?

Hi, sorry for bringing up an old thread. I bought 3 of these back in October 2015 on ebay from different sellers. 2 of them are of the size 24 x 65mm and one was smaller and only half the weight. I'm trying to find the small one to get some more of those but the listing from back then is closed and all those I could find now either don't mention physical size or they are the bigger model.

Can anyone help me finding the smaller one? Maybe they run under a different name?
