This is a gun I'm building for my daughter. It's a simple design meant for use with static guard.

The screws used to hold the handle in place double as the leads for the fan switch. I was trying to hide the wiring completly but could not find a way to hide the ignition leads.

It has a 90mm chamber fan and a C:B ratio of 1.5 to 1. This little guy is LOUD!!!

It will probably get painted in the next week or so.

WOW. Your turning out to be one helluva spudgun builder. Can't wait for you to build a pneumatic. I like the innovative barrel handle and over-all cleaness of the launcher.

Nicely built! That top mounted handle will be copied many times, i have no dought about that, you should have sought a patent on that lol. What color sceme are you going to paint it? For your doughter, animal sceme, roses, or is she a total but kicking tomboy? In that case, sculls, monsters, destrutive type sceme. You can get all kinds of stencils now days.

She's 12 years old. We started out with a 3/4 inch barrel and 2 inch chamber for her, but she saw how much fun the big ones were and wanted one. Every time she shoots I'm there with her and she had a crash course in gun safety before she got started.

What color sceme are you going to paint it? For your doughter, animal sceme, roses, or is she a total but kicking tomboy? In that case, sculls, monsters, destrutive type sceme.

She's kind of a blend. It's going to be black with pink trim. Not sure of the specific design though.

As for the pneumatic, I did just get a new compressor for Christmas!!

And thank you all for you comments. It's nice to get into a new hobby and find so many like minded people who aren't a bunch of idiots.

I like the black and pink scheme.
How high does your new compressor go?

She did. She is going to go with a "Pink Panther" theme.
Every step of the way I have given her things to be responsible for in the developement. I gave her the barrel length and diameter, and the formula to find what size chamber she needed to build to get the 1.5 to 1 ratio. Before we went any further, she had to find the exact answer. She also had to research what kind of paint she needed for plastics, and what primer she needed.

If she's going to have her own gun, she's gotta work for it.

How high does your new compressor go?

120 psi.....should be enough to do some damage.

sruggles I have to hand you the Coolest Parent Ever Award

I have always thought of myself as pretty sentimental, but this story of you and your daughter really tugged at my heart strings. I can’t wait to have a little one of my own and share hobbies with them. I can only wait for the day when my little one asks me to build a potato gun with them… I’m going to be so happy
