This was my first full featured combustion. Built out of ABS, (4"x12",) it has a chamber fan, detachable propane metering, and stun gun dual spark ignition (not shown.) The rings on the chamber are sharpie, I used those to position the electrodes (screws.) The propane meter uses quick-disconnect fittings so the regulator and torch head can be used on multiplier launchers. The hose (fuell-line) used to be 3' long but was shorted for use in the STAG3.

Awesome gun but one problem...ABS is not pressure rated. It could weaken and explode. I'm not being critical but that is very dangerous.

propane is a high powered fuel, is it not?
Propane is powerful. But I think spudshot is talkin bout oxygen and acteylene. They are highly combustible compared to propane. Note: oxgen doesnt blow up by its self but when mixed with other fuels is way super duper powerful.

Theoretically, it would be safe If you didn't have a projectile. THis way, the gas would just ignite and blow out the barrel. But if you tried to launch a projectile, emmm, how do you say. PVC DEATH!!!!spudshot wrote:the problem with acetylene and oxygen is it doesnt combust, it detonates, the pressure spike is too great for PVC and it will explode

Spudshot, that response to that question has been shown to be wrong so many times... well, I'll leave out the inferences one might make about you.
Anyway, propane tourches are pretty effective at burning through PVC. Odd that we can use propane as a launcher fuel when that's true...

you know, if you gave that thing a 2 foot long barrel, you could fire a little bit further, and accuracy would be unbelievable. also you could make clips to the bottom or where ever so you would only have to hold one thing instead of having to fumble around with the tank and shoot the gun at the same time. 1 saftey idea though, with guns that have a permenant propane attachment set-up, you should always have a backflow valve just incase something goes wrong. because im sure an exploding propane tank would probably ruin your day.
