Wonder if it would go here but it's combustion anyway.
While messing around in my room, I came across some of my old notes I printed off websites that interested me. One site was this
http://www.scitoys.com/scitoys/scitoys/ ... ermo2.html (Scroll Down)
Since I had some film containers in my room, I decided to give it a try but with a different approach. I put the wires through the container instead of the lid so I could fire the lid off. The ignitor is the piezo grill ignitor from my Econogun and I used a butane lighter for fuel.

A few videos
Opened burn test fire

Shooting the lid off

Sticking a smaller film container into the first and launching.
canisterlaunch1.mov
NOTE FROM PIMPMANN22: Moved from GSGQ to SCC. It belongs here because its a combustion cannon not a question. Thanks for making note to the problem in the original post. I also merge a double post.

- Ignition wires. I made a hole in the bottom of the film container to slip the wires in then covered the bottom with duct tape.

I made one of those with a Tylenol bottle that has a pop off top, It is about 3 times as large as the film containers. That was pretty loud
You can make these more like rockets if you put a nose cone and fins on it, couldnt make them too heavy though, you could put nails through the nose cones and make a few of them and have a game of mini lawn darts
