thanks for you thoughts. i'm thinking i should still go through with this. i'm too much of a fan of the game not to
i'll cope with the lower power.
as to the part with the fan, i'm a little skeptical about how effective it'll be. seeing the best spot to but it is right behind the barrel, the main part of the chamber would(i think) be left out of the mixing/venting process.

I'd just stick it under the barrel somewhere out of the way. It just has to mix the fuel and air a bit before firing, and provide a bit of turbulence when firing. Don't put it behind the barrel as you'd have to shorten it even further to provide a path for the combustion gasses.
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

That seems a tad tricky, and inaccessible if something were to break

Any direction would work, if you're just using it for mixing (not for exhausting combustion gasses).
Speaking of which, how do you plan to vent the chamber between shots?
