There has been some speculation in the forum before regarding how much power it would take to shoot an unmodified tennis ball 1 mile.
Didn't we come out with Mach 143 or something?

In essence, the answer was that unless you're in an inert atmosphere, a tennis ball would self-immolate before it went fast enough to travel a mile under its own momentum.

Try Tractor Supply...they are the reliable vendor I have found for it. You might have to try several stores in your general area....some are better at keeping it in stock than others.

Couldn't find the 1.5" SDR-21 but I was able to find 1.5" class 200. Ordered it online. It comes today!!! Hope it works well with golf balls.

Even though it's rated at 200 psi, should I sleeve it?

If I'm not mistaken, I think golf balls stick pretty tightly in the 200 PSI stuff. I could not get it to work for me. It makes an excellent spud barrel though.

Note, prior post is a year old, but since it is your thread, I replied. Keep looking for the SDR-21 or use a sabot on 2 inch cell core ABS.

I must have been thinking about the 2.5 inch pipe which does come in 160 and 200 PSI wall thicknesses. Those two are not the same. I have some of both. 160 launches Tennis Balls without burning the fuzz off on the launch. The 200 requires a stick ram rod to insert the ball.

I thought 1.5 inch pipe came in both sizes too. I must have been mistaken.
