It cost less than 25 euros to make, and took about 30 mins to build (and 12 hours for the glue to dry). It works, and it's pretty fun. Needs a new chamber fan though.
Least elegant cannon ever

You really could have put a longer barrel on this to gain more power.
Whats with the quick connect on the back, venting? That piezo will only last about 2 seconds- how about using a bbq piezo and moving the spark gap to the middle of the chamber.
I wouldn't say it is the least elegant cannon either, there are plenty around here that take that title to further extremes, although your methods of construction seem to be very "unique", (refereing to the thread bar)
What happened to your fan, did this cannon chew it up and spit it out or what?
Happy Shooting

I guess it isnt that bad but as nova said you could use some upgrades.
And what is the gun made of?
It doesnt look like any pvc or abs Ive ever seen
I geuss it could be electrical pipe but Id recomend against using that as it can and will blow up(I know from experience)

- Yeah, the B:C ratio is something like 0.55:1 :/Novacastrian wrote:You really could have put a longer barrel on this to gain more power.

- The metal block at the back is a gas valve. When you insert a special piece into the hole in it, the valve opens and you can let the gas (using 50/50 butane/propane mix). When you take the piece out the valve shuts completely both ways. Can be used for venting too
- I can't find a proper BBQ piezo anywhere :/
- This is what happened to my fan: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/chamber ... 12973.html
It's polypropylene. I can't find ABS anywhere and PVC would blow up in the winter cold of Finland. What is the electrical pipe you are talking about?bigbob12345 wrote:I guess it isnt that bad but as nova said you could use some upgrades.
