My "Haughty Hand-Held Howtizer"

The ABS Chamber measures 3"x18" with a 2" 5' barrel with a serated cutting edge hidden under the union style connector. The ignitor system is powered by a BBQ ignitor, which produces 4 sparks. A chamber fan was mounted in the rear and is pwoered by 2 9v batteries. It features metered propane with an ABS and wood mounting for the propane tank.

Shotty picture of propane setup, the black stuff leading wrapped around the hose leading to the tank, is duct tape. Not for any support, just to cover some sharp metalic braid ends.

good job with the propane setup, after i build pythagoras (my current cannon) im going to build a propane meter for my combustible cannons.

i like the handle, damn my ignition doesent fit anywer it pisses me off so much

je correct me if im wrong but i keep on hearing abs pipe is dangerous because its basically very hard foam and isnt pressure rated. is it or not? funny how the internet can mess up facts filterd through so many people. or am i just dreaming that you said it was abs chamber.

ABS pipe is not pressure rated, however is generally considered safe for combustion guns. Some people will argue that it is better because you can hit it with a hammer and it will bounce back instead of shattering, but that does not constitute a pressure rating, which is the type of force spud guns produce. It most definitely should NOT be used on pneumatics.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND TRYING THIS, but some people believe that ABS cannons are better if you use acetylene, because they have high strength in that area (for sudden impacts; tensile strength, perhaps?). However, they cannot take sustained pressure (pneumatics and hybrids are OUT).
