i want to make a tri-barrel launcher that can shoot cans out of it. the goal i want with this is to be able to shoot the can alwhile holding intact but explode on impact. i just need to know how to safely conduct co2 to fire the can and if pvc pipes are good to use for it

PVC pipes are generally not the best material for high-pressure systems like this because they can shatter under stress, which could lead to dangerous accidents. When working with CO2, make sure you're using materials designed for pressure, like metal pipes or pressure-rated tanks, to avoid mishaps. Also, creating something that explodes on impact could involve legal concerns, so I'd recommend researching local laws and safety regulations before moving forward with the project. Make sure you have proper safety gear and consult with experts if you're new to this type of work!

I recommend using a regulated CO2 paintball tank with a quick-release valve for safe, controlled propulsion, ensuring all connections are rated for high pressure. PVC pipes can be used for low-pressure designs but require Schedule 40 or 80, proper gluing, and reinforcement, though metal is safer for high-pressure CO2 systems.
