Hi i am kinda new to this so here goes nufin.........
i am going to make my first spud cannon and was wondering what you think are the best sizes for the barrel and combustion chamber???(i dont want the cannon to be massive but i want it to be powerfull)
also i have read that ppl are using computer fans in there cannons. what are they using them for????? to mix the fuel and air or to get freash air into the combustion chamber...............is it somnething along those lines? i have acouple of spark plugs around the house, do u think they could be used as an igniter in any way??

thanks for your time and any advise and/or criticism will be very helpfull

That's the basic measurements for a Basic Spud gun. If size is a matter, do like me! My future spud gun ill have a unscrewable barrel, so it's easier to transport :)

For the spark plugs..

the fans in the chambers are used for both of the things you mentioned. to vent the chamber after each shot and to mix the fuel and air for better results.

Dont bother putting a spark plug in your cannon just wire up multiple sparks with a bbq sparker it works better and then you dont have to put a big hole in your chamber.
