im new to spudgunning and i heard that fans can help to increase perforamnce...how do i fit in a SQUARE computer fan into a CYLINDRYCAL pipe??

what size pipe do i need n is it nessacary to still put an end cap?

80mm Case fans (you need a brushless, 12v DC case-type fan) fit pretty well in 4" pipe. If you're using smaller pipe, you'll need to find a smaller fan - maybe an older CPU fan, or one off a graphics card. You can also modify the dollar-store type portable fans to work.

A 9v battery and two AA's in series provide 12v. A cheap radioshack on/off switch does the job for controlling it, though some people build circuits to automatically run the fan for 10-15 seconds. Search "fan controller circuit" for info on that.

Why would the fan affect the end cap...? Of course you still need one...

Make sure you tap all the holes in your cannon (such as the hole for the fan wires) where there are two layers of PVC/ABS (where a fitting and pipe overlap) and solvent weld all your joints properly.

shud d fan be blowing in or sucking out?

Larger fans can be wedged into place, and they will not move

wud it still move from the force of the shot?

so how do i mount the small fan?

Look at the picture. You can put bolts into your chamber going through the fitting and the pipe so it is 2 layers. and you can just make some sort of bracket out of sheet metal or whatever. There isn't really a way that everyone does it you just improvise.
