Me liking that neat little safety switch. You had better hide it before professor decides to lick it though. Do you find hose clamps that big at Home Depot? I've skimmed around there and only seen smaller sizes. Any damage/distance numbers?

That switch is most probably for the PC fan inside the gun. A BBQ spark might very well jump the gap inside the switch when it's turned to "safe".

By the way, nice gun! I've only seen pneumatics from you so far, so it's good to see you build a combustion finally. Maybe we could get rmich732 to build one next. 8)

P.S. - flyingsalt, you can make a big hose clamp from two smaller ones with some flux, solder, and a small pin. I've done it one my tennis ball cannon.

Very nice. Why not try a stun gun ignition? There very easy to install and we all can tell you know what you are doing. It would be a nice upgrade to the metered propane and chamber fan. Either way top notch gun.

Then what does the cool red light do? So did you put a 9v battery in there with a cap and a resistor to light it up? If I make a handle like that (which I probably will) , I will make a safety switch and a fan switch :P

Sorry Chi town, I'd rewire a stungun and move the switch. Box in the main unit so it's undercover and use it anyway. Just don't wave it around in public.

Dan, stunguns are not allowed in Chicago, so you know.
