Black Widow Sniper
This is my newest propane injection cannon.
It has a 4 inch double walled sch 40 chamber and a 2 inch barrel sleeved to 1.7 inches for golf balls.
The C:B ratio is 1.08 to 1. It has a custom laser sight mount and the chamber fan is an Ozark Trails personal fan that has been stripped and remounted into 3/4 inch PVC, with an external switch and battery pack.
It will easily put a GB through 3/4" solid wood, and when fired, I have yet to actually be able to see the ball leaving the barrel. When fired into an old car hood it will leave a dent that is 3/4" deep and the diameter of the GB. It's almost kind of scary

Looks great! Nice clean cannon. What did you sleeve the barrel with?

amazing gun i like the laser mount and the propane holder
It is 2 5 ft lengths of sch 40. A 7/8 inch slot is cut out of one piece, then I squeezed it down with a hose clamp, got it started into the outer barrel, and spent about an hour pounding it in. Not fun, but a perfect fit. And thanks for the positive input!
that is a heeps cool cannon.

Grr… how many times do I need to explain that a “sniper” is a person, not a type of arm? Are YOU, or have you been, a sniper, or a sharp shooter, in a military, or militia? If so call it a “sniper’s cannon”, but just plain sniper shows an utter lake of knowledge. I can’t believe I’m going to say thins but, I’d rather you call it a “sniper rifle” (that actually hurt…) because at that at least makes a little sense! But if you’re not a sniper then call it “the Black Widow Cannon” or just plain “Black Widow”, both of which, in my opinion, sound good.
I will say that that is a very nice looking cannon. I like the paint job, spider’s a nice touch, and the red switch on the circuit box makes me think of the big red “do not push!” button! (Why do they even bother with a big red “do not push!” button, all it does is make people want to push it?)

It’s only a sniper rifle if it’s used by a sniper. Because snipers use Remington 700s doesn’t make all Remington 700s sniper rifles. The Sharps rifle (a U.S. civil war era falling block rifle, usually chambered in .45-70.) was used by snipers, but it’s not usually called a sniper rifle (when it is it’s because that particular gun was issued to a sniper).us sniper wrote:What about precision rifle?

Wow...I don't know what to say to that other than thanks for the compliments on the paint. It is not a sticker. I painted the main body of the tank case red, then made a stencil of the spider and then sprayed the black over the top of the red.
Also, the laser sight is actually a 500 yard range laser pointer made for construction engineers. I cased it in a 3/8 nipple, then sleeved that into a 3/4 pvc t with end caps. The threaded brass cap is used to turn it on. It had a small button on the side of the pen that I glued down. I then soldered the battery cap on the rear of the pen into the brass cap so when I tighten the brass cap down on the nipple, it pushes into the back of the batteries and turns it on. Sounds complicated but it really wasn't hard to do.

Oh, well yeah, if it qualifies as a “precision rifle”.us sniper wrote:I know that a rifle is only a sniper rifle if it is being used by a sniper. Soh how about calling it a percision rifle, it that correct?
But the “black widow sniper(ouch)” isn’t even a rifle, it’s a smoothbore cannon, or a shoulder fired, propane powered, projectile launcher, it’s not going to get half inch groups at five hundred or more yards! (joke intended) now if he, or anybody else that call’s their pneumatic or combustion arm a “sniper”, can show me a picture of a target with a group smaller than an inch and has written proof signed by an attorney that he made those shots from a range grater than eighty-eight point eight yards, then I’d have absolutely no problem with them calling it a “precision rifle” so long as it was rifled. (If you’re wondering why eighty-eight point eight yards, I like that number, y’all got a problem with that number????)
