Epoxy my friend the whole 1/2'' slip to 3/4'' thread if filled with epoxy the olny thing going into the chamber is a piece of coat hanger wire. The spark jumps to the chamber wall. This way I can adjust the size of the spark gap by un threading the 1/2'' slip by 3/4'' thread bending the coat hanger wire towards the chamber wall or away and threading it back together. EDIT: Thanks starman I waited pretty long to attempt a hybrid almost a year about 27 days until a year.

Epoxy perhaps? How to you wire in your ignition without it shorting on the walls?

Edit: Damn! I even refreshed the page to see if anyone had answered.

I'm uploading a video on youtube exsplaining it. Anybody know how to use a piezo to ignite a mixhigher than 4x? The spark gap I have now is really small (.75mm) but is doesn't seem to ignite.

Of course, that'll only happen in an ideal chamber (no heat loss) and without any kind of barrel, ammo or burst disk.

You've made me want to go make a tiny hybrid now.

They are great but olny use them at lower mixes unless you don't have parrents that think everything will blow up.

How do you fill the chamber with gas? Is is under pressure when you put the fuel in? Or do you meter in low pressure propane (with a rich mix) and then pressurise with air?
I got all I need to make one of these
. But I'm not sure about metering. I got butane, not propane. I was thinking trial and error (so no real mix number eg. 3.6X).
Anyway, I am going to try this for sure

Oh man that really stinks. Maybe you should sit down with your dad and just go over what you are doing. Promise anything you need to...Sticky_Tape wrote:Well I got a shot off at 8X mix BIG MISTAKE too loud my dad got pissed and now I'm banned from propane oh well back to pneumatics.

I don't think that would work starman I can't get it into his head that even a X1 mix with propane will not exsplode. After I fired that bid combustion gun in the house that was pretty stupid but relatively safe he said to me ''you don't even know what you are talking about those people on that site don't know anything about exsplosives! And you sure don't! That thing is going to blow up and put shards into you!'' even though he lets me use 400psi air which is a quite alot more powerful than X1 propane /air mix
