I'm new to the forums and i was wondering if someone could detail the components of a hybrid such as burst disks, propane meters, construction, firing mechanisms (i've heard of double mechanisms) and different gases, i understand the 1x, 2x, 3x mixes. I have some good experience with pneumatics (pistons, high pressure tanks, etc.) so plz don't just say ur not ready yet noob, i'm not gonna build one right away just wondering about the science of a hybrid thx

A hybrid is simply a combustion where the contents are already under pressure before firing. Have a browse through the finished cannons section, there are plenty of relatively simple designs you can copy.

Have a look at these sections, they are finished Hybrid then Hybrid under reconstruction. I claim to have the simplest Hybrid on these forums. (apart from crappy little ghetto hybrids, which are very cool in their own right)

I know this is not explaining how a Hybrid works, rather illustrating how simple a hybrid can be made, some people think that a Hybrid is a piece of engineering genious, however the design and operation can be very easy.
Hope this helps
