If you are using parts from airsoft, why not use the grease that they use for the gears. They have a lot of heat producing friction, since the gears move so fast. Why not try what the guns use.

yeah, my parents wont let me use propane becuase they think ill blow myself up. i tried buying the propane adapter for my GBB and they flipped, even though i proved it was safe....

gahh. i might even use a homade green gas chamber, where to load it up, i dump a whole can of green gas into it........... only thing im afraid of is cooldown......

They sell these adapters so you can run a grill on a disposable tank. The tank screws in one side, and the other has 1/4NPT threads. Put it on a quick disconnect so you can attatch and detach it quickly and easily. Or just print everything out that states how green gas is propane, but with some silicone oil and perfume added.
The cool down shouldn't be a problem. Just let it warm back up. Although, to fill a tank with a gas like propane, you have to follow the same process as you would with filling a CO2 tank. Put a little gas in it, empty it most of the way to chill it, then refill and weigh as you go.
There's a cheap regulator made by Evil. It's the Evil Detonator. They are supposed to be pretty good, and at only $25 its no more expensive than an el cheapo PMI that doesn't do anything. They do need to be "broken in" though to make them consistant. But with deviances of only about 5fps with paintballs, I don't think it should be that big of an issue. Just set it a little low and rechrono whenever you can to keep it there.

thank you, that helps alot. ill be getting myself one of those, along with a remote line.
and i dont want to prove to them green gas is propane, becuase i like using my GBB, and if they wont let me buy green gas (because i proved it was propane) i have to either deal with the sucky preformance of duster gas or upgrade it to use red gas.

Good paintball regs that can use co2 are the palmer stabilizer.
That's an ingenious design, and I hope you can make it work.
In my mind, if you want to use high pressure gas, you should move away from the paintball area, and look into industrial gases, which are often available locally even in small towns (although you'll likely have to order the stuff). The smallest cylinders run at around 2300-2500 psi, and could easily fit inside a backpack. The reason that I suggest this is because paintball regulators are specially designed for paintball guns, whereas industrial gas regulators usually go directly to NPT threads on the outlet.
Specifically, I would look into nitrogen, as it is easy to obtain, doesn't leak as readily as helium, doesn't randomly explode like hydrogen, and the regulators are relatively cheap (and commonly range up to 500 psi on the output side).
Failing that, I suppose HPA would be your best, nonflammable, bet. I personally would stay away from any liquified gas on a semi/full auto gun, due to cool down issues.
On the "convincing your parents" front, I don't think many people are too afraid of helium, as it sounds very friendly and balloonlike. Nitrogen sounds kind of bad because of the similarity to "hydrogen", which most people would identify as being bad (if you value you're life, don't use H2 as a pressure source). Mentioning the word propane should be avoided completely. Also, avoid mentioning the word "gas", as some people are scared of "gases" (in yet they continue to breathe ). The entire process is politics, made all the more difficult by talking to people who don't use reasoning, and don't change their minds, even in the face of overwhelming proof.
