This is my latest whip together. You may recall reading my other thread about my find of tent poles fitting 3mm BBs perfectly, this branched from that. It is basically a 1-3 shot breech loading blowgun. Below is a picture of it as well as a paint drawing of it.

To load i simply put a bb in the hole and cover the hole with my thumb when i fire, im tryin to find an airtight cover for the hole. The 'O-Ring' is to hold back the bb for a couplle of milliseconds if that to improve power and to stop it from rolling out the barrel when aimed down. The breach loading is from the hole in the safety valve from a compressor, i just drilled through into the barrel. A piece of a paper clip stops the bb rolling backward. The back of the barrel has been 'dug' out with the tip of a spade bit like a funel to hold up to 4 bbs and to increase the force of air going into the barrel.

Damage pics will be up soon, its too late to turn compressor on now and i have to get more ammo (i'm in oz so i have 2 get bbs from bike pedals lol)

Comments are welcomed and encouraged.

EDIT: BBs ARE NOT 3MM THEY ARE 1/8" sorry

EDIT: Here are some damage pics and videos i have taken today.

I taped things to a large milo tin and shot at it so i could then collect the BBs afterwards. The first second and third images are of the milo tin after a couple of cds and some printed targets were destroyed.

The next image is a gif animation of how i breach load it

nice and simple i like it i think you should add a small tank to it though. Also are you getting good flow with that little blowgun.

glad you like it, it was actually JSR's idea to go with the blowgun although i might upgrade to a pressure washer handle. I can embed BBs twice their diameter into 10mm plywood! I am planning to have a metal tank welded up for me if i cannot find one that would be able to go in a backpack, that will store my pressure.

Either that or some 25mm galvinised steel pipe and fittings.

yea i would go with a pressure washer handle those work a lot better also are you getting leakage from where the o ring is. because it looks like in the pic you cut a slit in the pipe and wrapped the ballon a round it.

i cut a slit the width of a hack saw blade so the baloon neck (the thing that looks like an O ring) fitted in, it off a water bomb. No leakage with a bit of tape. what you think about tank?

so those bb's are smaller then those yellow plastic airsoft ones? I wouldn't mind basing my new gun off them- way more effective I'm guessing?

i wouldnt know about the airsoft ones as i am in australia, they are suprisingly good. With a gun as simple as mine they can shatter cds, imbed into ply and fly straight (all at 80-120 psi)

With regards to video, does anyone know a good free converter for .mov files? Ive just wasted 40mb of my quota tring to find 1
