First of all I've been reading up and looking around the site and it's given me a few ideas here, but none of them are viable without some form of gas, which leads me to my questions.
Assume I'd be using a vortex cap in my design, looking at ~60 inches of barrel, a few thousand rounds in the ammo box, roughly 90-100psi
1. how big of a compressor / tank would you suggest for a saw type of weapon, 5 gallon, more, less?
2. About how long / how many rounds would one be able to shoot on different sized tanks (20oz paintball, 1gallon, scuba tank, etc)
Couple of noob questions about compressors

A 5 gallon compressor would work fine.

5 Galleon is most likely enough for a standard bbmg. As for the portable air sources, it depends on what pressure you regulate it down to. CO2 also performs better in warmer climates etc.
