first post but i've been lurking awhile, first off i've built clouds before, i'm not a total noob but i decided it was time to step it up and do a piston gun, i started looking at the swanstrom design and started working on it but mine took on a style of its own 8) i made a working prototype except for the "bolt return line" (see diagram) i need to get the brass tee. as you can imagine without it the bolt floats half open and empties ungodly fast

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

None of us can really visualize what you're trying to say without the diagram that you're referring to. Please post it. :)

It could be the wrong format, if you made it in paint make sure you saved as .jpg or .gif, not .bmp

Try not to double post. If needed, use the edit button.

Should work if your building it close to a common/commercial design. May not be as efficient but oh well... I'd go for realism with something like a med cap perhaps..or if you want pure capacity a hopper (like pb) with an assist mechanism.

Thanks, i was kinda looking for specific ideas on feeding it though, i've thought about something like a pill bottle with a rotating "wheel" spun by a dc motor at the bottom having several bb sized slots at the edge that would line up with a hole in the bottle several times per revolution, basically a pb e hopper. 8)

no offense to your craftsmanship, but there are so many seals that have made at the right distances apart from each other, so I wouldn't count on it the design's gotta be simplified
