with a piston valve you need a pilot valve. I assume you've got a lot of pilot valves rated to 150barif you're the sort of person who eats soup with chop-sticks because using a spoon or even a fork is just too damn easy

The point is that for a 0.177" cloud, a 1/4"-1/2" ball valve alone is more than enough, especially if you're using a detent.POLAND_SPUD wrote:I assume you've got a lot of pilot valves rated to 150bar

Technically we're both right, but it depends on the level of complexity you're willing to live with - and I think by now we've established on which side of the fence we both sit

yeah, but somehow I didn't even think of adding a detent to the design... That makes everything a lot easier
so, if opening speed isn't crucial then a BV or pressure washer handle is probably the best idea

Basically a tight o-ring or seal at the breech that stops the BB, only releasing it when enough pressure builds up behind it, like I did here with a high pressure cloud

Clearly he does, 150 psi is not really "high" pressure - you can make a reasonably powerful BBMG running at 10 bar, but ramp things up past 30 bar and you'll see the difference.budabob07 wrote:do you really mean 150 bar, or 150 psi.
