this might sound stupid but could you just attach a shrader valve to a hose with a hose clamp then put it in the pump

I'm pretty new to pneumatics so someone has probably already thought of this so I'm sorry if so
How to use pump for my portable?
I did that. You need to have a shut off at the other end so that the hose doesn't act as increased pilot volume.
You are better off buying a threaded schrader and a section of 300psi rated "anti-whip" hose that has threaded fittings on either end..
I'm not sure why you want to do it though.

You could, if you added some plumbers goop into the mix, but theres no reason in my opinion, and through experience I know that having treads and correct fittings always pays off over assuming you can make something makeshift.

i was going to do the same thing but i ran into two problems.
Firstly, those pumps do thread into schraders, however, the valve has to be open. The pump that i had at least did not push the pin on the shrader in. This could be circumvented by drilling through the schrader keeping it forced open somehow.
Secondly, im not sure those sport's pumps are supposed to go very high, it doesnt usually give a pressure, and i think most balls are usually under 10 psi.

yes but you could always go with a mini bike pump used by mountain bikers that need to repair a tire on the trail. they are usually the same size or smaller than the sport ones and they go up to 125 psi(depending on the quality)koolaidman wrote: Secondly, im not sure those sport's pumps are supposed to go very high, it doesnt usually give a pressure, and i think most balls are usually under 10 psi.

Hey anyone have any idea how many time you would have to pump a pvc pipe chamber with the capacity of 1.5L to make it reach up to 40psi?
Pumping the air chamber with a hand held foot pump with a gauge on it... connected to a shrader valve?
cause i rekcon it'll better since the air flow is veryhigh and carrying oneo f those around wouldn't be too cumbersome + it's cheaper than carrying a mini compressor with a batt pack

It's Nerf or Nothing.
Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

Foot pumps normally have very thick chambers and aren't very well made, so you probably wont be able to push 80 with one.
i would say about 15 to 20 because my chamber on mt pneumatic is 1' of 2"littlebro05 wrote:Hey anyone have any idea how many time you would have to pump a pvc pipe chamber with the capacity of 1.5L to make it reach up to 40psi?
and it takes about that amount with a bike pump so i assume they fill at the same rate and if they dont it will probly be around that much.
but i suggest a second opinion on this

There is no reason you couldn't work in pairs where one guy pumps the gun and the other shoots. You can easily extend the hose from the pump to allow a little more mobility.
It would certainly be fine from a covered sniping position.

i come from australia... of course we're going to work in teams but i'd leg it if all my team members (probs 3vs3) runs out of air...
i'm working on a glove gun where u just pull a stick and bb falls into the glove gun chamber which won't be too hard...
basically the vortex gun / electric bb gun (still working on it i'll show plans later) is our primary
glove gun repeater or semi-auto springer will be our secondary
though we're probably going to play this at a public school even tho it's probably trespassing XS but it's bigger grounds
