Yeah I know I am half done with a nicer one I just need to paint it and fix a couple of the leaks and I am in business.

well I like all the guns I make even if they are held together by duct tape and hot glue I think all my guns are good as long as they have antiquate power.

So, what you're saying is that you consider your guns good if they have obsolete power? That's essentially what you're saying. I believe the word you're looking for is adequate. Also, try using the shift key, as well as the period. That will make your messages much easier to read.

I would try to make your guns more aesthetically pleasing in the future. Generally, if you make a gun that's held together by duct tape and hot glue, you can't expect it to last long. :D

O yeah I did use the spell check and chose the wrong word woops. Ok well I didn't mean that it is only hot glue and tape. I meant that if it uses hot glue and tape and doesn't look so good as long as it has good power I don't mind.

Until you have produced a full-scale gun out of proper materials you do not know what good power is.

I have produced good guns with proper material before that had very good performance. It just had primer stains on it and was eventually scraped for another gun. so don' have it up here.

The only thing i'm saying is that I don't care what my guns look like.

As you get older, you may find that this attitude drifts over into other areas. You don't care if you take a shower or not, brush your teeth or not, go to school or not...etc. The girls will shun you, your only friends are other slobs, no one will hire you....etc. See where I'm going with this. YOU may not care, but that doesn't mean it won't adversely affect your reputation.

There's also a safety issue here. Your sloppy construction invariably will lead to an unsafe cannon and it's our job to discourage that as much as possible.

As long as it's reasonably safe, building ghetto is fine if that's what you want....check out Eddbot's wooden cannon. It is ghetto galore but it isn't sloppy. However, once you build the real deal, ghetto usually doesn't cut it. Aspire to something greater my man.

Taking pride in your work will show. Slow down some and build something you can be proud of and not be tempted to tear down for parts.

Agreed with starman , (but of course, you already knew that) if you want people to approve of your launchers more, how about making them a little less... Shitty.

I'm not so much concerned about your safety, I think it would be hard to push a Gatorade bottle to failure with just spray and pray, but the simple fact is that ANYONE could make these guns, people are only impressed when you make something that doesn't look like a 5 minute botch job with duct tape and 2x4's, and that is partly what this site is about (although no one admits it, everyone loves getting praised for their amazing job)

Just strapping 3 pieces form different guns into one then taping it to a recycled stock isn't really impressive.

And everyone knows now that when you say that something on the gun is temporary, you mean that you will take the gun apart soon enough and just make it into a new one...

well no I mean that I would keep the gun and make a nicer one. I agree with you guys and I will start making nicer ones. Also I will just post the finished products instead of the gun in the making.

That's the spirit... If you come up with something truly innovative, by all means post it any time. Also, feel free to ask questions if you're stuck on a build problem...many here will be happy to assist.
