We both own the Skiff a 3000.
I've been dreaming of buying it one day... I know it's kind of offtopic but what do you think of it ? how good is it ?

@ BTB she looks great... I've wanted to build a high pressure BBMG ever since I've seen yours... you know the one which 'bursted cans open like a sl*t watching porn does or something like that

are you planing to add a rubber hose or an oring to allow pressure to rise and lower RPM?

Nice gun you have there. With some epoxy putty and a paint job this will look like a beast. What are you using the qev for though?

@jsr
Don't get your hopes up too much about those inflators I have the same thing and it only spits out about 10 bb's until reaching below 70 psi to trigger the schreader(sp). All though I was outside in 15 degree weather.

I still love this gun- shutup people about extending hte barrel hahahahaha.

Quick question BTB- about your suppressors. do you put a small barrel length inside it so the BB's don't get stuck in the baffles and deflect?

Or is the barrel accurate enough that the BB's will fly straight through it without having to worry about that?

I´ve allready explained the QEV.
It serves as a vortex chamber.

Temperature is a big factor with CO2 pressure drop.Tire inflators generally use 16 gram bulbs so it should work better.

I have not considered an O-ring on this particular build.
The idea seems appealing, but it would suffer from wear a great deal.
Plus, I've never got it working properly in the first place..

@ Poland: I like the Skiff, but although the rotary magazine gives you a lot of shots, I's like it better if it had a conventional metal mag, holding less.
Like it's predecessors.

Just a matter of taste I guess. The gun itself is above average

The resin is setting as we speak ( I thought we only wrote?)
It will need a few more coats before it reaches it's final shape.

I perfected the trigger.I changed out the original spring in the valve for a weaker one to get smoother triggerpull, wich did wonders.
I inclosed the trigger-pivotpoint inbetween two square nuts , and it turns out there is NO room for it to rattle, yet it functions smoothly.

Curing one mayor disadvantage the Deathray had.Triggerpull was just a bit on he heavy side.
I also lodged a smaller pipe into the QEV outport, leading up to the elbow. This will lessen blowby in the "rise rube" causing it to feed faster and even more reliably.

I'm off for a long weekend holiday, so I'll get back to you guys some time next week.
edit: I drill holes in the barrel and put a sleeve over it, with wadding inside.Your post crossed mine, I was referring to the post before yours.

Were you yelling at me? I was talking about a suppressor, not the QEV

I love mine, though I don't use it much these days. In it's class it's one of the most powerful pistols available and that 28 round magazine seems to go on forever, recommended :)

As if I'd have it feeding through a schrader, already took the attachment off ;) also, I've epoxied a length of 3/4" pipe to a threaded CO2 capsule with a shcrader in the other end, giving me the option to feed compressed air instead.

I really wanted to make it small calibre, 3mm or less, but it would be pointless until I find a reliable source for lead shot.

Btw Brian, forgot to mention, love the name :)

FUGGING SWEET!!

maybe in a few months we can compare uzis. mine is actually gonna be mac11 style and replicate the blowback system used in a airsoft gbb mac11.

urs is the best functional attempt i've seen so far.

rivalry? lol

it better be pretty damn good to beat BTB.

and a blowback semi auto system is extremely complicated to build, I've tried and gave up.

thats why i wanna do it. i've already simplified the sketched the blowback system. now i gotta find a good triggering system for the gas. finding the right springs is also kind of a hassle. i work all day so when i find the time i will start on it. i'm not sure if it will be as awesome as BTB but i'm willing to try.

How tight is the fit of the bb's in the rise tube?
Is the end of the rise tube beveled/chamfered on the in or outside? (Could improve flow n feeding, may be worth a shot)

Looking forward to being beaten by you... :D

The rise tube I.D. is almost 6 mm, the bb's are 4.5 The bottom is widened to increase feed reliability.
Wich seems to work very well.

But I won;t know for sure untill I've spent numerous bulbs on it.
