Thanks for all the diagrams and explaining. With that animation that jackssmirkingrevenge posted. Looks like the hammer comes down to strike the valve allowing the gas to be released? Does anyone have a diagram of the valve that is inside the mag please?

I've looked around but information on the gas mags is pretty sparse. I'm pretty sure it would be a spring loaded 2 way spool valve though.
