Shock Pumps

I just ordered a 400 psi shock pump from the local bike shop. I'm planning to use it for pressurizing a small (1/2x5") chamber. Roughly how long will it take to reach 3 or 4 hundred psi?

I'm hoping this gun'll be extremely powerful and portable.

Edit: I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

It'll take about 2-3 minutes to get to 300 psi, and around 5-6 for 400 psi. Unless you have insane triceps, in which case it will take a bit shorter. :D

Thanks guys.
Also, do you know how much pressure a chromed 1/2" pipe can hold?
I got some from home depot because of their smooth interior is great for pistons. Its the only no galvanized pipe on the gun/

thanks,
Butt

Its steel correct? IIRC somebody did the math and sch 40 steel is safe to ~5000 psi but i wouldnt trust this data as my memory isnt the greatest

Some people have used SCH 40 steel on unregulated CO2 systems, but that isn't quite safe. For 1/2", you should be fine for whatever pressure the shock pump can go up to.
