I recently picked up my little kitchen fire extinguisher from under the sink, it's been there about a decade, and I noticed that it had everything you would need for an air source. It fit perfectly against my shoulder and had a grip, an air source, a trigger, and was directed upwards, perfect to mount on my BBMG. But it had all of the chemicals for grease fires and stuff like that. It's not just CO2, like some others. I was wondering if anyone knew how much medium sized CO2 refillable extinguishers cost, and where to buy one. Also please post if you know if the threading on them is the same as Paintball or Propane tanks. Also also, if I were to go to Advance Auto to get brake line for an airsoft barrel what exactly would I ask for.

FEs have been used for BBMGs before and they make quite good ones too. I'm not sure that the grease fire ones would work as they could clog the BBMG itself.

The airflow however is small through the FE handle/body so no great velocities will be reached without heavy modification.

The refillable CO2 FEs rack up a bit of a price because they aren't single use. Expect to pay anything between $50-$100

The threads for the BODY of the FE are reversed as far as I am aware, so they will need to be welded to anything, but I have no clue as to what thread type/size the handle part will be.

Contrary to IM's advice, you don't need to weld anything. All you need to do is get a machine shop to measure the threads, and then create an adapter from them to something useful, like NPT. Fire extinguishers don't use standard pipe or gas fitting threads, so the adapter (or the rather more ghetto and inconvenient method of welding) will be necessary.

If you plan on using CO2, and want it portable, you could use either a paintball tank, or a small industrial CO2 tank. CO2 FEs are probably more work than they're worth.

Getting them welded is pretty darn cheap, so if it's easier then getting threads made, I'd go with the weld, like I did a few years back.

What would be a good Paintball CO2 setup for an airsoft gun? I have the tanks, a regular and pistol blowgun, and I can get the tubing.

if you already have the co2 or hpa tank, you need to get a palmers pursuit regulator so your not pushing 900 or even 3000 psi.... which will make your gun explode....

palmers reg, qd fittings, and air hose.

mcmaster has it all except for the palmers regulator

HPA tanks have built in regs that bring the pressure to 850 or 450.
