Mate I've been wanting to make one for god knows how long. I just payed my car rego and insurrance so I'm back to being broke as hell
I've come up with a couple of idea's. Check my post in the pneumatic discussion called "Weird burst disk spring pistol". I might give ya some idea's.
All the best mate,
I'll be making one as soon as I can
.
(Dispite of Jacksmirkingrevenge telling me to just make a piston valve
)

yep ill do that mate hehe all the gus ive made didnt hardly cost me anything at all because i had all the parts lying around lol i think out of all the guns ive made they cost me bout 50-60 bucks for bout 5 guns all different very bloody cheap lol hey you know that 10mm aluminium tube you can get from bunnings do they fit 8mm airsoft bb's

That I've wondered myself because I saw some yesturday. I use 11/32 (I think it is..) brass tube which has an ID of 8mm. I reckon the 10mm aluminium tube would be extremely close, if not the same.

I'm pretty doubtful mate. Too hard to get. I get chrismas bead garlands (its 4m of string with about 3000 8mm beads on it) You could get em from any shop like K-mart or Crazy clarks for a couple of bucks. They are by far the best thing to use for the price but I still prefer 8mm lead sinkers. They just have such better penetration and stability in flight

I have 2 PCP air rifles and 1 springer, while the HW97 is a quality gun there simply is no comparison in terms of power and lack of recoil - it has been in my cabinet unused for months now, while the PCPs get taken to the range almost every weekend.
The only springers that even come close are those made by
John Whiscombe, beautiful pieces of design and engineering that use dual opposing pistons to squeeze more power and eliminate the recoil.
Sadly though, they come with a matching price tag

yea but ya see jac ive already got some pcp so to say rifles that shoot marbles and what not but unless there is a good way to make a really portable rifle i mean i could make collapsable pcp outta pvc and use sprinkler valves and stuff make it all screw to gether but then i still need a pump to pump it up and thats a long time between shots i only want this for airsoft so it only needs to be about 400 fps or so which is really good it maybe could be 350 thats still ok but it also needs to be able to reload quite fast so thats why i was thinking bolt action springer any way ill keep thinking
thanks

Sigh...spoon feed?
I'd follow the idea of something similar to the corner shot.

yeah i spose ive got and old pnuematic door closer thingy that ill probably use in it and ive come with a barrel idea called the balloon breecher will ill post along with this rifle or the next pistol i make that incorperates this idea
aaron
well pistols are harder than i though ever thing have to be so much smaller and compact lol im trying to make a glock style piston gun outta square tubing and stuff like that for airsoft incorperating this rubber around the barrel thing. ive also got a stainless steel barrel which is bout 7.5 mm id so that going to be good for the peas ive already got lol yay
