I've tried several springs, even the weakest offered at my hardware store, but they are still way too strong. can anyone help me out please? both ideas and why you would choose it.. also, i would prefer them being off of mcmaster (parts numbers anyone?), thank you very much

Pop-up sprinkler heads have very useful springs in them. You can usually unscrew the head in the store and take a look at the spring inside them.

Your best bet is to check an airsoft supply site. They have springs that might fit your project well. Some might be overpriced though.

I'm not sure what the spring is for but it's very easy to make your own. First, to find the size you'll need contact springsfast here Describe the spring you need using this template and ask for a quote (or they may refuse service).
Then find the recommended wire and length, then make it yourself. If anyone needs instructions from here on how to make it I can post the rest here. It's just a bit long and I'm a bit lazy today.

Im assuming he wants a spring for the plunger on an inline vortex? The spring from a sprinkler was the first the i came accross looking through my junk droor. It was/seemed to be too strong.
