Semi-Auto Air bb Gun

Hey again, I was looking at Ant's semi-auto (i think it's semi) and after thoughts on how the gun works and how to construct it, I've drawn an interpretation of how his semi-auto gun works. The only thing that the design I drew that I could think of that was that different from Ant's Gun was the trigger. If you squeeze the trigger in his gun, only one burst of air comes out whereas in my picture if you hold on the trigger air will be let out until you let go of it. Therefore you have to squeeze the trigger quickly for consecutive bursts of air. I've also added a famas style magazine from behind for looks and abit of realism.
Here is my design: Inline air gun
Comparing it too Ant's gif image,
I'm going to work on this gun first and I'm going to sandwich it or put bits and pieces of a toy carbine around it for looks, cept for the magazine of course. If this gun is a fail or success, after this project i'm going to go for my homemade LPEG airsoft. The difficulty for me to make this is that i don't have a welder like Ant
, but I hope i can construct this good. Any opinions on this?

just like mine as well, its not semi btw you have to recock the bolt every shot
mine doesnt have a mag so i drop one down the barrel every shot. if you get the spring right, this design is very powerful - i could nearly get about 500fps out of it by the time i finished tweaking it, made my mate bleed in the arm from about 20m away in a skirmish! good luck its simple to make, but a pain in the bee hind to get it right and to every incorperate a mag is harder.
with your desing how you pull the valve back, its going to let more air out that you need, thus lowering the amount of shots you get from one bottle, better to make a hammer hit the valve through momentum using the spring then hold it open with you finger.

So basically, it's a BBMG with a straight line mag? Ant's design is very sparing with air, yours will empty the chamber much quicker.

Oh is that how it works, the poppet valve's spring is strong enough to recock the hammer back into place ready for another shot? because i've been always been wondering why the gif diagram puts the poppet valve back into place. Well in my opinion Ant's gun is semi-automatic because he can keep on pulling the trigger at a quick rate.
At this point in time i'm trying to make an semi-automatic bb gun so I can use it as training for paintball next time i'm on the field again. this would be essential to my paintball training. I plan to only go twice a year since it's too expensive in Australia
.

If i'm not mistaken its the air that recocks the hammer, I had come up with a similar design
here.

hey nice sketch up here. I didnt c this post before. Yeah it is a real nice concept, yours is more like a bbmg though as jack said. You did realize that ur gun wont reload if you hold the trigger right. I am sorry about the confusion of my gun being semiauto. I guess I called it that bc you could reload it really fast as seen on the vid. thumb
reload:
Once you clog the barrel it shoots auto, but it doesnt shoot bbs as the barrel is clogged. Thats why I made this [url=gunhttp://
www.spudfiles.com/forums/automatic-prot ... 13665.html]gun[/url]:
with a valve for the reload piston and one for the barrel. The problem was that it was cursed to"" jam and thus stop the auto cycle. THis is bc the barrel which moves is 8mm outside diameter and the balls are 6mm, so this 2mm difference causes a next bb to go into the chamber and to jam.
But k overall this type of gun is good for skirmish with friends etc as you might have heard from ajdevi

So your saying that when you were shooting in that video, you were cocking the gun each shot really quickly? Because the way you shot it looked semi-automatic... oh yeah thanks for the reply i needed
