I herd break line could be used for a barrel for bbmg. You could also look on the internet for companies that sell pipe or tube that is the right size for your barrel..I have never made one but these are the things I would look for..I would look for small guage tube with a sch rating for the barrel. I known other people have made barrels out of break line so if that fails I would search the internet for pipe or tube that would work.

If you go to an hobby shop that sells boat tank and aircraft models and other do it yourself, you should find a bunch of small diameter cooper or aluminium pipe, i finded my barrel there.

For steel BBs:
Brakeline

For Airsoft BBs:
~6mm Tubing
Standard Airsoft Barrel
Tightbore Airsoft Barrel

Obviously a Tightbore Airsoft barrel gives best performance..

Sadly,

I don't live near any brakeline, hobby and airsoft is illegal places so, what I have to use is Bic Pens and straightened with 10mm inside diametre aluminium tubing at hardware stores. The Alu tubing doesn't get any smaller than that :(, but performance is still quite good. Plus If you don't have fancy drill bits like me, it's easy to drill holes in plastic pens.

I drill a hole for the hop up anyway.

^^well if you simply by a standalone airsoft barrel.... no one will know what it is supposed to be attached to....

I still don't understand why airsoft is illegal in some countries. Sometimes it just makes me wonder just what the hell Europe is thinking.

I mean goddamn, they're harmless! :x

Harmless? Are you serious? Have you ever owned an airsoft gun?

Would you like to be shot with a machine gun shooting 12 gram bb's at 480 psi? Yes i almost bought that gun. And thats only motor driven.

And not to mention the gas powered ones. I honestly dont think you know what you are talking about.

I certainly would not mind. Airsoft should just have a limit to how much power so then they cannot be harmful. And did you mean a .12 gram bb or 12 grams of co2, at 480 psi or 480 fps because i am sure an AEG doesn't run at 480 psi lol...

Yes, I have owned airsoft guns. Quite a few, in fact. I've modified two of them extremely heavily. And the only way you are getting 480fps out of an AEG is if 1. it costs $350, or 2. you throw in every performance mod available.

And nobody uses .12g's in high performance guns. It's simply a waste. Your accuracy goes down the freaking toilet. And you can get 800fps out of a gas carbine, but there's only ONE gun that'll do it, and it requires the highest-pressure gas available, and it only reaches about 725fps, and only with .12's, and you loose ANY kind of accuracy when you do that. I'm not debating the effectiveness of high-end airsoft guns. I'm just saying that banning all of them defies logic.

They're only harmless when you use them the right way, and well there' are alot of idiots here in Australia. The crime rate is increasing, and incidentally it's people in their 15-25 age range. And they would probably do anything to "rob" a bank with an airsoft gun, and get shot down in the end since the "orange" tip was removed and was mistaken as a real gun.

Anyway I think we're getting abit off topic with this thing lol.

Airsoft is harmless.. Sure it will hurt if you get hit with it but if you look at the big picture its nothing.. Its a toy. Its not a weapon by any means. Unless its mistaken for a real firearm. Than the criminal gets what he or she deserves.

Most Airsoft Field limits are as follows:

Outdoor/Woodland = 400fps with .20g bbs.
CQB/Indoors= 350fps with .20g bbs.

When you have protective eye wear and follow the standard rules set fourth by the field, Airsoft is a very safe sport. Following these rules you will almost never go over 1.5 joules of energy per shot. Well within the safety limits.

If your local laws permit I would suggest buying an Airsoft barrel online. There are many sites that sell tightbores and you get a good increase in performance by doing so.
