in search of the perfect valve...

I am currently working on a little project that I have been thinking about for a few months now. I am converting a spring airsoft to a HPA/CO2 set up. my reasons for this are A. its really hard (much harder than I first thought) and B. converting a gas rifle is limited (IMO) because of the gas system that they have already designed for the rifle.
Basically I have a QEV set-up but am searching for some kind of electric valve, here is basically what I need it to do:
because space is limited I need this valve to switch between my CO2 power and a vent...
CO2 ------------- Valve ----------- Exhaust

There IS stuff out there, the only problem is that its not the right size or not the right PSIG for what I'm looking at (I'm hoping that I just haven't looked in the right place yet). I'm hoping to run at least 300 PSIG, but would like to have ability to go as far as 5-600 PSIG.

Is the exhaust the barrel?
Are you gonna use regged or unregged co2 because a qev is not reccomended at unregged pressure.
Also for the chamber you would have to use iron fiitings and pipes.

Use an electric 3-way valve to vent and fill a QEV. When in one position, the 3-way valve will let CO2 in from your tank. When you actuate the 3-way, it will close off the port to the CO2 and open one to the atmosphere which will vent the pilot volume of QEV, causing it to fire.
Be warned, new 3-way valves are expensive, but there are usually a few on eBay that go for pretty cheap.

If you have machining facilities, you could make your own 3 way spool valve and operate it with a solenoid. You will want a 3 way pilot/fill valve.

Yeah, my barrel will be my exhaust, and im using regulated CO2 through a 0-300 palmer reg.
Thanks for the info on the 3-way valves, I have been looking at them, but they are really really big and a lot of them are taking 24 vdc power, but if you say they exist I will have to keep looking.

store bought, they are expensive. if you wanted to machine a spool valve and actuate it with a solenoid, it would be much cheaper, smaller, and could be built to withstand immense pressure. attached is a diagram of a 3 way spool valve. The "spool" slides in a "tube" with holes in it.

hmmmmmm... I like this very very much... although unfortunately, i dont really have the machining expertice to do this... however much I would absolutely love to be able to make my own valves

Do you mean something like this? >
